What choices are you making?

What choices are you making? – Isaiah 3:10-11

Are you truly a child of God? Do you really belong to God? How does God see you – righteous or wicked? The choices that you make in life will help you respond to these questions. If you belong to God, then you can be sure that God will do everything to bless you. When you truly belong to Him, He will be there for you every inch of the way (Isaiah 43:13). In Matthew 6:11, our Lord told us that each day is in His hand. He is not only in control of your today; your tomorrow is firmly in His hold. He knows all things and has answers to all questions. You are always in His mind. Your picture and frame are constantly before Him. Relax and enjoy all that your heavenly Father has specially packaged for you. He made all things. He has control over all the works of His hand, including the storms and challenges of life (Mark 4:41). Isaiah 54:16-17 confirm that the waster will not have any power over you. This is because the waster can only go as far as his maker allows him to go. Darkness can only prevail when light is turned off. The devil cannot overpower you once you remain on the side of the Lord. Your Father is the light of the world. Since He cannot change, you can be sure that you will overcome darkness and everything that comes with it.

While it is true that God made everyone in His image, He is only the Father of a select few (John 1:11-13). As a matter of fact, God knows those that belong to Him. The bible declares in 2 Timothy 2:19, “Nevertheless, the foundation of the God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” You can only say you are His when you hate sin and love righteousness. The bible tells us that His eyes are so pure that He cannot behold evil nor stand sin (Habakkuk 1:13). He cannot bend His standards for anyone. He cannot represent and defend you when you are a sinner. Sin belongs to the devil. Just as the one who teaches is called a teacher, the one who commits and practices sin is called a sinner. When you love sin, you automatically shut the door of God’s blessings against yourself. The bible emphatically declares in 1 John 3:9 that a true child of God cannot sin because He has the seed of God in him/her. The word of God is the seed of God.  Your life must be a good soil for the seed to produce good fruits. You must not only profess the word, you must live it. No one should doubt your association with God (Matthew 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:11-12). The opposite of sin is righteousness (1 John 5:17). God sees a sinner as a wicked person. The righteous regards God and does His will. He is all out for God. He is always ready to go the extra mile for God. Isaiah 3:10-11 declare “Say ye to the righteous that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: For the reward of his hands shall be given him” The choice you make determines what tomorrow holds for you. The righteous has nothing to fear. He can relax and face tomorrow with great hopes and expectations. It is going to be well with the righteous. He will be fruitful in all he does. On the other hand, the wicked operates under a closed heaven because God is angry with him continually (Psalm 7:11). What do you want? God‘s kindness or anger? Choose rightly today and your tomorrow shall be glorious. God bless you.
