The Battle is the lord’s: 2 Chronicles 20:15
Blessed is the man that belongs to God. As a child of God, you really don’t have any reason to fear. Everything about you, including your battles, is in the hands of God. Your God is the Lord of hosts! He is strong and mighty in battle. He is called the Man of War – Exodus 15:3. He cannot be defeated, no matter how strong the enemy may appear. Your battles are His. Once you are on His side, you will be more than a conqueror. Isaiah 43:2 declares “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; Neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. As a child of God, there will always be waters to pass through. As the beloved of God, there will be fire to walk through. The devil will always set traps on the way of the righteous. The afflictions of the righteous will be many but God will deliver him from all of them – Psalms 37:19. Fear not. Be steadfast. Always abound in the work of the Master. He will take over your battles. He will take care of the mountains and giants on the way. He has done it before. He will do it again. Be calm and rest in the Lord. He will suspend the natural effect of water and demonstrate his awesome power in your situation.
Is your faith going through a fiery test? Has the enemy come against you like a flood, to unseat and swallow you up? Take heart! Because God is with you, you will successfully come through. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego stood face to face with king Nebuchadnezzar and told him they would rather enter his fire than obey him and burn in God’s eternal hell fire. God took over the battles and disgraced the enemies. God went ahead of them and turned the heat against those who were incensed against them. He confounded the enemy and made His children champions. Jesus was in the boat and yet a great storm of wind arose to capsize it. Jesus took care of this and turned it to a great calm. He is still in the business of taking care of storms. Trust and rest in Him. The devil cannot overcome your God. No weapon of hell against you will prosper. Hide in Jesus! He is the Rock that cannot be destroyed. You must remain a friend of God if you want Him to calm the storms of your life. He will not fight for His enemy. Your ways must please Him. Hear the testimony of Daniel in Daniel 6:21 – 22 – “Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocence was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. Daniel prevailed because he was in the will of God. No wrong was found in him. He had a good report with God and man. Like Daniel you must make holiness and righteousness your watchword. You must develop a lifestyle of purity. You must be set aside for God at all times. You must hate sin and flee from its slightest appearance. You must not tolerate and encourage sin. Run from anything and everything that will bring reproach to the name of the Lord. Walk in the Lord! Be involved in His business! Love Him wholeheartedly. Submit totally to Him. Be sold completely to His cause. Be passionate about what He loves. Remain committed to Him. Stand firmly on His side. Resolve to please Him always. When He is with you, you can never suffer any defeat. He will take over your battles! Shalom! God bless.
