LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT – ROMANS 8:14

When we are led by the Holy Spirit, we become victorious in all areas of our
lives, we receive victory from sin, victory in our trials and He guides and
helps us to walk in Christ, all these things the Holy Spirit does when we
completely surrender ourselves to him, we can’t do it on our own, especially
in moments when we lack the strengths to move forward or go head in life.
Life comes with its own challenges in every phase of our lives, but it is
through the help of the Holy Spirit that we will know what to do and how to
do it.

In 1 Samuel 17, we learn that it was through the help of the Holy Spirit that
David was able to defeat Goliath with a stone and a sling. Prior to his
victory over Goliath, in 1 Samuel 16:13, we learn that David was anointed
by Samuel and the spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day. In 1
Samuel 17:33, the Bible describes Goliath as a seasoned warrior. Surely
David needed the guidance from the Holy Spirit to be led to victory over
Goliath in the most unusual of ways.

One of the enemy’s ways of fighting us is by constantly sowing the seed of
doubt and fear in us by trying to make us feel like there’s no hope,
Ephesians 6:11, so, whenever we feel dismayed or discouraged, the Holy
Spirit, who is also known as The Comforter, John 14:16 –17, 26, is there to
comfort and remind us of God’s promises, John 14:26. The Holy Spirit
gives us rest and assurance in God’s word, 1 Timothy 2:13, and this
strengthens us and leads us to victory.

We often deal with character flaws that draw us back as believers, we may
sometimes feel as if we need to work on ourselves by watching videos on
self development, reading books on character development, going through
therapy, etc. Of course, all these can help us, but by surrendering to the the
Holy Spirit, the process of transformation becomes seamless when we allow
Him, the Holy Spirit, to produce in us godly character traits) such as love,
joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and
self-control – Galatians 5:21-22.

As believers we face some unknown battles, and the Holy Spirit, our
Intercessor, helps us to connect to God’s will when we pray, making it
seamless and confident to approach the throne of grace to receive mercy for
help in times of trouble – , Romans 8:26–27.

As we surrender to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead us, we will
become victorious over the challenges of life, draw strengths from Him,
prosper in all our ways, deepen our relationship with the Triune God, and
above all remain relevant for, and in, Him. God bless you as you submit to
the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
